BURN IT RIGHT

CANDLE CARE

A better burn starts before the flame. Use these general care and safety practices every time.

01 / FIRST BURN

LET THE WAX OPEN UP

On the first burn, allow the melted wax to reach close to the edges of the container before extinguishing the flame. This helps promote a more even burn on future uses.

02 / BEFORE EACH BURN

TRIM THE WICK

Before relighting, trim the wick to approximately one-quarter inch. Remove wick trimmings, matches and other debris from the wax.

03 / WHILE BURNING

WATCH THE FLAME

Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, vents and anything that can catch fire. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

04 / BURN TIME

KNOW WHEN TO STOP

Avoid burning a candle for more than four hours at a time. Extinguish it if the flame becomes unusually high or begins to flicker repeatedly.

05 / PLACEMENT

KEEP CLEAR

Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets. Maintain clear space around the candle and never move it while the wax is liquid or the container is hot.

06 / STORAGE

PROTECT THE SCENT

Store candles upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Let the wax cool completely before handling or storing the candle.

THE NON-NEGOTIABLE

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always follow any safety label and product-specific instructions supplied with your candle.
